HDBank Green Marathon 2026: Turning Can Gio into a green destination for every step

The HDBank Green Marathon 2026 is set to return to Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh City, in September 2026, marking the fifth consecutive edition of this community-focused running event. Organized by HDBank in collaboration with Unique Joint Stock Company and the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation, the marathon is held under the direction of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports. The race is especially significant because it takes place in the UNESCO-recognized Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, offering a rare combination of coastal and forest scenery. With distances ranging from 5km to 42km, including children's and team categories, the event is designed for everyone—from families and beginners to semi-professional runners. The route, certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races), guarantees international standards for distance accuracy and safety. The 2026 edition highlights the theme of green and digital living through the online Green Marathon platform, which integrates HDBank's digital banking ecosystem to keep participants engaged throughout the year. Over previous editions, the marathon has contributed to more than 2,000 planted trees and various environmental campaigns, reinforcing its reputation as a socially responsible event. Thousands of participants are expected to join, boosting local tourism and strengthening Vietnam's growing running community.
